Waste glass fibre now being 100% recycled.

glass fibre waste

After a thorough review of our manufacturing process and with increased focus on environmental concerns, SSC are delighted to announce that 100% of our waste glass fibre from the production of composite covers is now being recycled, rather than going to landfill.

Working with Agecko, our appointed total waste management broker, we separate the waste glass from other waste material produced at this stage of the manufacturing process.

This is then stored externally in a 40 yard skip and collected once filled. Instead of our glass fibre waste being collected numerous times a month, it is now collected in the region of once every 3-4 months, further reducing the environmental impact of transport.

So far this year we have had 12.26 tonnes of waste glass fibre collected, with none having been sent to landfills since switching to this method.
