Established in 2005, Structural Science Composites Limited [SSC] drawing on over 20 years knowledge in composite cover manufacture is a leader in designing and supplying state of the art composite manhole cover solutions for underground access positions.

The inherent properties of composite materials make them ideal for the manhole environment.   Our covers are extremely durable, lightweight, inert so they will not corrode, non electrically conductive and has low thermal conductivity.  Built on patented THRUBEAM® technology we have developed a range of generic covers suitable for pedestrian areas (B125) and vehicular areas (D400).  Our covers are sold under the INTELGRIP™ brand name and provide the next generation in composite manhole covers.

Why Intelgrip?

Our covers are manufactured with a slip/skid surface that is equivalent to a high quality road surface, and it maintains its non slip properties even when wet.  Please see third party test results.

Environment
At SSC we are focused on manufacturing products which are environmentally friendly.  The manufacturing process is a low energy consumer as our product is manufactured using a chemical exothermic reaction.  Our light weight covers typically use a third less material by weight and significantly reduce the transportation impact on the environment.

Health and Safety
SSC is committed to providing a safe working manufacturing environment.  Our covers are designed to reduce the risk of injury when in situ fitting and removing covers.  The polished slip resistance value for our cover offers protection to the general public, eliminating the risk of slipping even in wet conditions.
